Ashlae Shepler is a Denver-based, LGBTQ photographer and designer creating portraits for engagements, events and weddings, plus branding design for small businesses and non-profits.
Nice to meet you
I'm Ashlae, an artist who enjoys experimenting with old cameras, hiking in the mountains, swimming and cuddling with my cat.
Over the years, I've had the privilege to work with a diverse number of clients on a variety of projects. I've developed an easy-going, open-minded, versatile and professional style and work with individuals, small businesses and non-profit organizations. My list of clients include the Art Students League of Denver, MSU Denver, Society for Photographic Education, 24/7 Networks, Orbit Design, and a number of local artists.
Through these relationships, I've found that if I’m to live a rich, authentic life, then I must embrace people, including myself, however we come. It wasn't until I moved to Denver in 2014 where I found an open, welcoming LGBTQ community that I've fully grown into myself as a person and a professional. Since then, I've grown more passionate about bringing your voice and personality to creative projects, and I'm all about that emotional connection!
I look forward to helping you bring ideas to life.
Ok, but seriously, why?
My passion is finding that emotional connection to tell a visual story. Collaboration and discovery underscore my approach—a "yes, and" sensibility—to creating meaningful images.
When we work together, I take time to listen and find ways to build a narrative that tells your story. I do it because we carry these events and experiences with us, they enrich our lives, and my work provides a tangible connection to those memories.
